About Buckeye Country Roads
We invite you to spend a week riding your bicycle with us. We are a company founded by two guys who can't get bike riding out of their blood, and furthermore who can't wait to introduce more people to the great beauty of the Ohio countryside as seen from the seat of a bicycle.
We believe that a truly great bicycling vacation is not just about the cycling. It’s also about comfortable lodgings, great food and drink, local color, making new friends, and the intimacy http://sportzonabrasil.com.br/sites-de-apostas of shared experiences. Not to be forgotten is leaving all the preparation and "dirty work" to someone else. We just want you to ride your bike, leave your cares (and your cars) behind, and let us serve and guide you.
Our tours focus on the most visited areas of Ohio's beautiful countryside: the Amish populated areas of Coshocton, Holmes, Tuscarawas and Geauga Counties; the waterfront playground of Lake Erie and the Erie Islands; the lush parklands east of Cleveland; and the heart of Ohio's quaint wine country and historic covered bridges in Ashtabula County, approaching the Pennsylvania border. Not only do these areas have some of the most beautiful roads in Ohio to be experienced on a bicycle, but they also provide many charming and interesting cultural, culinary, shopping and recreational opportunities.

About your tour leaders
Let us introduce ourselves.
Rod Hutton is a retired professor who has ridden his bike for over 24 years all over Ohio and much of the United States, having been quite active in Columbus area cycling clubs and events. He has traveled extensively off the bike as well, and has developed a wealth of knowledge on small http://www.sportzonabrasil.com.br/sites-de-apostas town Ohio history and culture. He just loves exploring Ohio's back roads and finding friendly new places to eat breakfast or lunch or to get some ice cream, and is on a vigilant search for the next great hamburger or piece of cherry pie. Rod and his wife Denise regularly enjoy cycling together and with family and friends, visiting local coffee and chocolate shops around Columbus. |
Joe Florian is a retired computer professional who has 28+ years of cycling under his belt. With his wife Peggy, he has ridden many week-long bike tours, within the U.S. and in Europe and Australia. He has a great deal of fun talking about favorite bike rides, equipment, and bicycle care. Joe will tell you that the very best way to see new places is from a bicycle, and like Rod, is a firm believer that you “eat to ride and ride to eat.” In his home town of Dublin, Ohio, Joe now https://www.sportzonabrasil.com.br/sites-de-apostas serves as a Dublin Bicycle Ambassador, spending a few additional hours a week riding the local bike trails, helping and advising other cyclists, observing trail conditions and cyclist behavior, and being an all-round advocate for safe cycling. |
Both being retired now, Rod and Joe have 'reinvented' themselves, and are doing what they’ve really wanted to be doing all along! They are recognized leaders within their local cycling club, leading weekly rides, designing new bike routes, and volunteering their talents to support local charity cycling events.
